The London School of Media Make-up is a training facility, established as a centre of excellence by Jeanne Richmond, a BAFTA award winner, who has over 30 years experience in the film and television industry. Training the best talent to work at the top level in make-up and hair. Based in Camden, London, the school gives students the opportunity to learn a range of make-up, hair and special effects skills. Over twelve weeks a comprehensive range of subjects is taught from basics, camouflage, fashion and period make-up and hair to casualty, character and prosthetics. Taught by specialists, tutor groups are small enabling students to receive individual attention. As classes are within a working studio, students regularly have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience. In addition, the school also operates a successful agency for paid work, Media Make-Up Artists. With outstanding and experienced tutors including OSCAR, BAFTA and EMMY award winners the London School of Media Make-up is an independent school set in a unique creative working studio environment surrounded by period costumes and accessories (see www.cosprop.co.uk). We are recommended by the British Film Institute and the National Film and Television School. The London School of Media Make-up is the perfect place to begin a career in one of the most varied and rewarding industries. Please feel free to contact us with any queries you may have. Refresher courses can be designed for those professionals already working in film, television and theatre and in media make-up education to ensure that their skills, techniques and use of products are fully up to date. We are currently the only make-up school to offer Skillset funding for working make-up artists, please get in touch for more information.
