Am I eligible to apply?

To apply you should be 18 or over, in good health with normal colour vision.
|

What previous experience or qualifications are required?
|
|
None, but art training, hairdressing, fashion/beauty make-up experience is helpful.
|
|
|

What work experience is likely on the course?
|
|
All students gain valuable work experience both "in house" in the Hampshire Street Studio, with other film students on their films and on other projects as they arise.

What is included in the price?
|
|
Included in the price of the 3 month Diploma course is a working make-up kit.
|
|
|
|
What do I get at the end?
|
|
When you have satisfactorily completed our course you will be awarded the London School of Media Make-up Diploma. This Diploma is recognised throughout the industry.
|

|
How do I apply?
|
|
Please fill in the Application Form included on the Contact/Join page. You will then be contacted and we may require you to attend an interview with the Principal. Overseas applicants may be interviewed by telephone.
If you are accepted you will be sent a Letter of Acceptance. You will then be asked to submit an advance deposit payment of £1400 excluding VAT (non-refundable). This deposit payment ensures your place on the course. Or 20% of the course fee excluding VAT. The outstanding balance of the remainder of the course fees will be payable and should have cleared funds three weeks prior to course commencement.

Can I get help with the fees?
|
|
Details of Career Development Loans ("CDL") can be gained by calling the Government's CDL Information Line (Freephone) 0800 585 505, 8am - 10pm, seven days a week, we are a registered training provider on this scheme, you will need our registeration number to apply for a CDL loan.

Can I come and see the School/facilities?
|
|

Can I talk to students?
|
|
Yes, you are able to meet current students when you visit the studio.
|
|

Will I be able to do the course if I am from overseas and I don't know anyone/my English is bad?
|
|
The School caters for overseas as well as U.K. students. We work with small class sizes, which enables students to form friendships quickly.
A good standard of spoken English is required.
|
|
|
|
Will I be able to do the course if I don't have my own models?
|
|
Students usually work on each other but where appropriate can bring in their own models, especially on student project days, usually on Friday's.
|
|
|
|
Where can I stay?
|
|
On registration we can forward a list of accommodation.
|
|
|
|
What are the teaching hours?
|
|
Classes normally run from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. However students are advised to arrive at 9:45 and have to be flexible if they need to finish late.
