The Complete Make-up Diploma is our most comprehensive qualification at The London School of Media Make Up. It is an intensive makeup course that has been designed to equip you for a career within the film, fashion, television, SPFX or theatre industries. This makeup course will train you across the board to enable you to bring diverse knowledge and experience to your work. The topics covered range from Straight & Corrective Make-up, Fantasy Make-up, Fashion & Beauty Make-up, Camouflage & Period Make-up, Cut & Blow Dry Hair, Contemporary Fashion Hair Styling, Period Hair Dressing, Casualty, Prosthetics, SPFX and Bald Cap Application, Airbrushing, HD Airbrushing & Body Painting.
You will receive full access to our student support & alumni services as part of this qualification. At the end of the course you will shoot for 3 days with a professional photographer to build your own make-up portfolio & will receive career development sessions to further prepare for freelance work.
Your guaranteed trainee experience from the makeup lessons will be organised by The LSMM Make-up Agency.
Our weekend makeup courses are suitable for beginners who wish to pursue a career in make-up and for keen enthusiasts who wish to explore and develop their hobby outside of normal working hours.
Part-Time Make-up Diploma
The Part-Time Make-up Diploma is a condensed version of our Complete Make-up Diploma, taught over 17 weekends and is the only existing course of it’s type in the UK. You will achieve a Diploma qualification with this course and are also guaranteed work experience, support and full alumni services. You are taught by working make-up artists and will receive the essential working kit including brushes as part of the course at our makeup school.
In this makeup course you will cover the main topics of study and some of the specialisms: Straight & Corrective Make-up, Fantasy Make-up, Fashion & Beauty Make-up, Camouflage & Period Make-up, Contemporary Fashion Hair Styling, Period Hair Dressing, Airbrushing & Body Painting, SPFX & Casualty, 1 day shooting with a fashion photographer on professional agency models and intro into the industry.
Weekend Short Courses
The weekend short makeup courses are the perfect overview introduction to make-up as a profession. These courses are designed to give you an insight into the Fashion & Beauty make-up industry and are suitable for those wishing to try out new skills.
Our short makeup courses are taught by Fashion & Beauty make-up experts, you will learn basic make-up theory & techniques, using professional products. You will be small class sizes with close one to one tuition in our working studio environment. For all of our short courses if you decide to enrol on our Complete Make-up Diploma afterwards you will benefit from a deduction of the short course fee form the overall cost of the Diploma.
